Computer Applications & 7th Grade Math
& 8th Grade Math
Dear Students,
Welcome to math and computer applications! You will have a great opportunity this year at Wilson Middle School to increase your skills and knowledge that will benefit you for years to come.
7th and 8th Grade Math
The importance of math in your high school, college, and career cannot be overstated. The average adult goes through several careers in his/her lifetime. Your grade is determined largley by your test scores. However, your homework, notes, and projects are parts of your overall grade as well. Homework assignments for math classes are kept up todate on the homework hotline and on the "Homework" page of this web site.
Math Intervention does not have homework but you need to show up to class, on time, to at least 70% of classes in a semester to earn credit. While in class you must work to earn credit towards semester credit. (This class is not offered for the 2010-2011 school year).
Computer Applications rarely has homework. For the first three weeks of the semester all students are expected to practice typing. Most of the class grade is based on class tests and projects. See the Computer Applications Projects page for a brief update on computer projects. All students will be given a detailed set of directions for any project given in class.
